Consulate General of India, Shanghai along with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hangzhou jointly organized Incredible India Pavilion on the sidelines of “The 11th China International Leisure Industry Exposition” in Hangzhou today. The Indian Pavilion consisted of participation from representative of India Tourism office (Beijing), Air India, Yoga Summit and Indian trade promotion companies. Vice Mayor of Hangzhou Mr. Xie Shuangcheng along with Consul General jointly inaugurated the Indian Pavilion which witnessed a large turn-out of tour agents and leisure industry related participants from Hangzhou.
2. During the discussions with Vice Mayor Xie Shuangcheng, Consul General proposed to organize an India Week celebrations in Hangzhou in the first week of June 2017. It was also proposed to organize a grand celebration of the 3rd International Day of Yoga in Hangzhou as well as setting up of an India China (Hangzhou) Cultural Promotion Centre.
3. Consul General also called on Mr. Li Wei Ning, Secretary General of Zhejiang Provincial Government and discussed ways and means to further attract investments from Zhejiang into India. Secretary General Mr. Li Wei Ning assured Consul General of leading a business delegation next year to India to explore options of collaboration in e-Commerce, Infrastructure and Renewable Energy sectors.
4. The Indian Pavilion will be on display in Hangzhou until 24th October and will host a series of Yoga related performances along with free consultations on Ayurveda, which would be provided by Indian Ayurvedic Therapists who are also participating as part of the Indian Pavilion.
